nGenius LinkedIn Checker Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the nGenius LinkedIn Checker Chrome extension (the "Extension"), published by ProSource LLC ("ProSource," "we," "us," or "our"), handles information when used by authorized ProSource team members.

1. Who Can Use the Extension

The Extension is an internal business tool intended exclusively for authorized ProSource team members. It is not designed for, marketed to, or supported for the general public. A valid signed-in ProSource nGen account is required for the Extension to function.

2. What the Extension Accesses

When the signed-in user is viewing a LinkedIn or LinkedIn Sales Navigator profile page, the Extension reads only the following publicly visible profile information from the active tab:

• The profile's displayed first and last name
• The profile's URL
• Optionally, when the user clicks "Import," the profile's headline, current company, location, and profile photo URL

The Extension does not read, store, or transmit:

• Browsing history or activity on non-LinkedIn websites
• Keystrokes, form data, passwords, or authentication credentials
• Financial information or payment data
• Health, location, or personal communications data
• Any data from pages that are not LinkedIn profile pages

3. How the Information Is Used

The profile information is sent over HTTPS to ProSource's private backend for one purpose only: to check whether that LinkedIn profile already exists in the signed-in user's ProSource contact database and to display the result inside the Extension.

If the user explicitly clicks the "Import" action, the additional fields listed above are then sent to ProSource's private backend to create or update an internal contact record. No import occurs without an explicit user click.

4. Data Sharing

We do not:

• Sell, rent, license, or trade any data collected by the Extension.
• Share data with advertisers, ad networks, or data brokers.
• Use data for advertising, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to ProSource's internal recruiting workflow.
• Transmit data to any third party other than ProSource's service providers that host or support our private business systems under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Contact records created or updated through the Extension are stored inside the authenticated user's ProSource nGen workspace and are subject to ProSource's internal access controls, retention rules, and deletion procedures. ProSource team members can request deletion of a contact record by contacting ProSource at the email address below.

6. Permissions Justification

• storage: Required to remember the signed-in ProSource user across browser sessions.
• tabs: Required to identify the active LinkedIn profile tab.
• scripting: Required to run the Extension's packaged code on LinkedIn profile pages.
• contextMenus: Required to provide the Extension's right-click actions for authorized users.
• Host permission for linkedin.com: Required because the Extension only runs on LinkedIn profile pages.

7. Remote Code

The Extension does not execute remote, hosted, or dynamically loaded code. All Extension logic is bundled inside the published Chrome Web Store package.

8. Security

All communication between the Extension and ProSource's private backend is performed over HTTPS. Access requires authenticated ProSource credentials, and stored data is protected by application and database access controls.

9. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not directed to and is not intended for use by individuals under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was last revised.
